The Anthropology of Sport in Latin America gained prominence over the last decade in events such as RAM, RBA and ANPOCS. Remarkably, in this production, increased demand for modern sports in urban contexts. Moreover, the construction of indigenous body has been revealed in its cosmological aspects and rituals in a rich production for decades. However, the contexts of games, traditional or modern, toys, playful practices and specific body of the original peoples of Latin America has increased the interest of many researchers in recent years through various research within or outside the villages. Our Working Group aims to bring together research in progress or statements and reports of intercultural experiences within indigenous issues in Latin America. The initial expectation is to gather a minimum of 20 papers and 05 posters of anthropologists and other researchers related to the themes.
We hope to bring together papers from researchers from Latin American countries, USA, Canada and Europe which have as object of research the various bodily practices, games and toys for native peoples, preferably indigenous peoples in the Americas.
